1 – Chill Restaurant
At the Chill Restaurant (located at the south end of the main corniche promenade after the main market), you can enjoy a sumputous meal with stunning ocean views. Their seafood dishes are top-notch, and the relaxed vibe makes it perfect for a sunset dinner. This restaurant is a bit pricey but it’s one of the best we’ve been to in Port Vila (cards and Apple Pay accepted of course).
2 – Erakor Island Resort & Spa Restaurant
A short 5 min (free) boat ride from Port Vila, the Erakor Island Resort & Spa restaurant is a tropical haven for dining. You’ll be treated to exquisite dishes made with local ingredients, all while enjoying stunning views of the lagoon (and a lot of fishes, sharks, moray eels and sea snakes in the water while you’re eating). Their seafood and island-inspired cocktails are especially delightful. The setting is perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxing lunch. You can check their food and beverage menu here.

3 – Golden Port
Golden Port Restaurant offers a mix of Asian and local cuisine with a touch of flair. You’ll love their creative dishes and the cozy atmosphere. Their grilled fishes and tropical salads are very recommended. The casual, friendly service adds to the experience.
4 – L’Houstalet
For a taste of French-inspired cuisine, head to L’Houstalet. It’s a charming place with a warm, inviting ambiance. Their seafood and tender steaks are excellent, and you’ll enjoy the blend of French techniques with local ingredients. Their coffee is excellent, and the relaxed vibe makes it a great spot to hang out and unwind. You can also get breakfast there at a relatively cheap breakfast (free wifi is included!).

Located on the east coast of Efate (close to Eton beach and the Blue Lagoon), the Banana Bay Beach Club offers a relaxed, island-style lunch experience with a menu full of local favorites. You can savor dishes like coconut crab and tropical fruit salads while enjoying the open-air setting over the beach. The PADTHAI at Elluk restaurant on Elluk road brings a taste of Thailand to Port Vila with its vibrant, flavorful dishes. You’ll love their pad Thai, fresh spring rolls, and fragrant curries. 11 – The Kava Lounge
Kava Lounge is a unique spot in Port Vila where you can experience traditional Vanuatu culture. They serve kava, a local beverage made from the kava root, alongside casual snacks and light meals. This place is known as the local favorite “Nakama” to experience kava. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a great place to enjoy a taste of local life. The Kava lounge is located on Elluk Road, very close to VAN Japanese restaurant and the Padthai Elluk restaurant.
